alex and matt

A beautiful sunny Saturday with nearly perfect weather and 2 amazing people to share the day with. Alex and Matt were both grinning from square one when we arrived at their houses to get ready. They have been together since high school and this has been a dream awaiting for Alex ever since Matt was sent to Iraq a few years ago. 

You can easily see that Matt and Alex are 2 of the most outgoing and fun loving people. There is a tradition in Matt's family that all 3 of his brothers along with many cousins have "mustache parties" and since this, of course, is a frequently occurring event the mustaches HAD to make an appearance at their wedding. If nothing else, it makes for hilarious stories for their some-day kids and really funny pictures to frame in their apartment. As I hear, these mustaches are usually drawn on the men's (and women's) faces, but for the sake of their big day, they were the peel and stick kind. 

Alex and Matt were fun, outgoing and amazing to work with...thanks for letting us share with you guys!

Alex even pulled out a "dancing" dress complete with feathers along the bottom for twirling....it was HOT! (and check out those shoes)

baby on the way...

Wendy is by far the most beautiful pregnant woman I have ever met. She has ZERO stretch marks, and pretty much only has a bump on the front of her belly, but the best part is that she radiates with sheer "mommy-ness" when you are near her. You can easily see the joy that both Wendy and the rest of her family have as they wait for "baby seed" to come along.

They are scheduled to add "baby seed" to the mix this week yet, hopefully tomorrow! You may remember them from their awesome Christmas session last year, but they already are blessed with 2 adorable kids with beautiful eyes and contagious smiles and I am sure that new one will be just the same. I am eager to see the little on, boy or girl they don't know, in the very very near future!

Sarah & Ted

We chose the grungy alleyways near the Stonearch Bridge for something full of texture and fun...Sarah and Ted were up for anything! And they were naturals. I gave them some pointers as we first got started, but after a few shots they were cuddling, giggling and showing some luuuuv to the camera...can't you tell from these amazing images? I quickly and easily saw that their love is real and their personalities mix perfectly....they are contagious to be around!

Thanks for the rad afternoon together guys....I am stoked for your big day in October!

becky & ryan...

Becky and Ryan are 2 of the tallest people in the world, so photographing them was a challenge for me to say the least. One of Becky's criteria in finding someone was that he had to be taller than her...and being over 6 feet is hard to beat...but Ryan passed the test! Although their fun and outgoing personalities made the session a blast, I am going to have to bring myself a step stool for their wedding in August! Despite the cold and Becky's shivers on and off throughout the morning, we had a great time downtown St. Paul and even had time to swing by Mickey's diner for a milkshake! I tell ya, give me some room and the ideas start flowing!

We had a great time and I am definitely looking forward to their morning exchange of vows in August! Thanks for a fun morning guys!
